Project Competition Scholarship

This scholarship is limited to High School Seniors competing in the Sonoma Section FFA Project Competition.  Application must by typed and signed by your FFA advisor and high school principal.

One scholarship will be awarded to the deserving High School Senior.  The scholarship applicants will be judged on the following:

Supervised Agriculture Experience and Project Competition Accomplishments - 40%

Career and Education Plans - 35%

Leadership - 20%

Neatness - 5%

The Intent of the Memorial Scholarship is to financially assist a deserving high school senior with the will to succeed.  This was typified by Michael Scott DeSheilds, Montgomery High School, class of 1984.

This $1,000 scholarship is for the student’s continuing education at a vocational school, junior college, or university.   To receive the scholarship the student must be enrolled at the institution of choice.

The individual applying for this scholarship must be an above average student, and share Michael’s view on the importance of balance between “school” and “community.”  Special consideration will be given to the student, who has had a personal or family adversity, and has prevailed, and maintained a minimum of a “B” average.

Elsie Allen Ag Boosters Scholarship

The Elsie Allen Agriculture Scholarship is sponsored by the Elsie Allen High School Agriculture Boosters. Selections will be made by the Agriculture Boosters on the scholarship committee.

Eligibility:

• Any student currently enrolled in the Elsie Allen Agriculture program

• Any student that has been enrolled in at least two full years of agriculture at Elsie Allen High School

Scholarships are awarded to those students who will be continuing their education at a 2-year or a 4-year institution in the fall of the year the scholarship is awarded.
